LUXURY BATH GETS A NEW HOME IN NEW YORK
Waterworks, the Iconic American Luxury Bath Company, Unveils a New Flagship

NEW YORK (February 25, 2010)– Waterworks, the company that has brought unrivaled quality, design and luxury to the bath experience for the past 30 years, is proud to announce the opening of a new flagship showroom in New York City.

Located at 215 East 58th Street, around the corner from the famed D&D building, the two-story, 8,000-square-foot space marks the beginning of a new era for the brand. The New York City flagship celebrates Waterworks’ classic roots and tradition, with innovative products and unmatched design integrity.

Envisioned by the Waterworks’ design team, the new duplex space exudes timeless luxury through rich, intimate and warm installations. A modern version of classic New York is recreated with the use of subway tile, traditional finishing details and a warm gray floor to set the gracious tone. A stunning display of signature Waterworks fittings and accessories are featured past a marble clad staircase. To represent the full product offering the showroom was designed with dedicated areas to highlight surfaces and washstands; Waterworks iconic freestanding bathtubs are displayed throughout the showroom.

Piedmont 16 by 24 stone flooring in dignified gray complement the palettes of tile displayed. An inspiring flooring installation of the mosaic Aqualinea in a Mitre pattern decorates the furnishings area. Installations of fittings and fixtures showcase the brands’ wide array of iconic and new products, to include a new lighting collection, fittings line and an Apothecary collection—debuting in Late Spring 2010.

“When my husband Robert and I founded Waterworks in 1978, we always envisioned creating a brand that changed the way people saw the bath,” said Barbara Sallick, Co-Founder and Creative Director for Waterworks. “The new flagship showroom was designed with that purpose: to re-introduce our customers to the notion of the bath as an intimate, yet luxurious retreat.”

The lower level will feature design studios for clients to dream up their ideal bath with the help of Waterworks’ design specialists as well as inspiring kitchen vignettes.
